Normal people with 4 day weekend I'm sure go out and have fun. Me on the other hand, I am having a pitty party for one! I tried getting a ticket to fly down to ATL but they are $600! Those bastards are crazy! I called to see if the price was reduced on a flight that takes offf in two hours and they said no. So I guess they aren't concerned with reducing rates to try and sell out a flight. I blame it on the holiday weekend.
Last night my friend Jess came over and we drank two bottles of wine trying to get inspired to start packing my shit up. We got inspired half way into the second bottle with a little help from Elton John around 11:30. I officially have 6 boxes packed.LOL I should probably continue the process in the basement. "They" came and ripped out all of the carpet and padding after my little flood. Ooh, I never updated after that. So after three days of flooding from the stupid water heater, a crew came out to clean and dry the carpets. Only for the next day to bring a raw sewage back up. I've had lots of fun in Dave's absence! Wednesday they came out to pull the carpet and left me with a smelly cement floor. When I asked with what and when they were going to finish they told me that they would have a better idea of what is going to happen next Tuesday. UGH! So now I can't go into my basement. I had to bring my tv and computer upstairs so I could have access to the outside world. Those of you that have seen my place know its a little tight up here. My dining room table is now my desk and couch. My couch is nestled right next to the flat screen that can only be viewed from the dining room. Yay!
I should really be going for a walk with Lelu and enjoying the first nice day we've had this week. Instead I am going to write a request for loss of wages (missing work from the flood), write a 30 day notice telling them that I will NOT be renewing my lease, and a running tally of deductions from my rent for not being able to utalise the full space of my place. Then I'm going to get all up in their face with a can of mace. Ok, not really, it rhymed.
I hope the other people in my duplex are enjoying having my sub woofer for my speakers upstairs just as much as I am. If my coffee tasted good this wouldn't be such a bad pitty party. The party store near my house needs to carry french vanilla cream instead of half and half. Ok I will stop procrastinating now. After I finish my cigarette... Current Mood:  calm
